Starting the New Year 2022 with a bang, Yamaha Motors India has launched the updated FZ series in the Indian market. The 2022 model FZS range is available in two variants – Standard and Deluxe. The base FZS-Fi model is priced at Rs. 1,15,900 while the Deluxe variant is available at Rs. 1,18,900. Both are ex-showroom prices. As far as the deliveries are concerned, the motorcycles will start reaching the dealerships from the second week of January.
In terms of powertrain, the FZS-Fi’s variants are identical to one another. These are powered by a 149cc, 2-valve single-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out 12.4 HP of max power and 13.3 Nm of max torque when coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The FZS-Fi’s hardware includes a telescopic front suspension, a preload-adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear, and disc brakes on both wheels, which are assisted by single-channel ABS.
Speaking of the Yamaha FZS Deluxe model’s paint scheme, it is available in three different shades – Metallic Grey, Metallic Black, and Majestic Red. It is also noteworthy that the Metallic Black and Majestic Red colours get dual-tone seats. Coming to the standard variant, it is being offered in two shades – Matte Red and Dark Matte Blue.
When it comes to the features offered, both FZS-Fi models are equipped with Yamaha’s Bluetooth-enabled Connect-X app. Other notable features as standard include LED taillights, single-channel ABS, a multi-function LCD instrument console, a rear tyre hugger and a lower engine guard. On the other hand, the Deluxe variant also gets coloured alloy wheels and LED flashers. Also, the LED flashers will be installed at the dealership at no additional cost.
