Yamaha has updated the FZ-S FI for 2023, giving it the Version 4.0 designation. The previous model has undergone significant changes. The new Yamaha FZS V4.0 Deluxe costs Rs 1,27,400, compared to Rs 1,24,400 for the previous model (both prices ex-sh).
The first batch of the new FZ-S has begun to arrive in dealerships. We now have a detailed walkaround of the 2023 Yamaha FZ-S, thanks to K2K Motovlogs. The most noticeable difference is the new front headlight design. The new face gets twin LED DRLs flanking the main LED headlight unit in FZS Version 4.0.
A larger instrument console is one of the other changes. This is the same unit that can be found on the Yamaha MT-15. The new FZS features a larger LCD display and Bluetooth connectivity. On the console, it displays SMS alerts, the phone’s battery level, and call alerts.
LED turn indicators are now standard equipment. Despite the fact that the braking hardware remains unchanged from the previous model, TCS has been added with Ver 4.0. This is an excellent addition to Yamaha’s entry-level motorcycle lineup. As a result, cornering will be even more inspiring than before.
Yamaha has also included OBD-II diagnostics in the new model. The 149cc single-cylinder engine complies with BS6 phase II and RDE standards. Furthermore, this engine complies with E20 standards. This means it can run on up to 20% ethanol blends.
There are no mechanical changes in FZ-S Ver 4.0. It still produces a max output of 12.4 PS and 13.3 Nm of peak torque. The BS6 phase II engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission system. Yamaha is offering the same three colours that it did with the FZ-S ver 3.0. These are Metallic Grey, Metallic Black, and Majesty Red. Only Metallic Grey receives Blue alloys, while the other two receive Gold alloys.
