Yamaha R15 V3 Price Increased Again: Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 is everything worth the hype, from power-focused performance to the stunning design, the bike has been a crowd favourite ever since its release in India.
At present, the YZF-R15 Version 3 is India’s most-powerful 150cc-segment full-faired bike and it was initially launched in February 2018 at the Auto Expo with a price tag of INR 1,25,000. Yamaha launched the 2-channel ABS model in the Indian market in January 2019 with a price tag of INR 1,39,000.
The sports bike got a minor price hike in March, then in July, and now the brand has hiked the price again by INR 600. The motorcycle is now listed for INR 1,40,880 on the official Yamaha website. The matte black edition of the R15 V3 is now available for INR 1,42,880 while the Monster Energy edition is listed with the same price tag at INR 1,42,780. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom India.
Coming to the remarkable design, the Yamaha R15 V3 gets twin-eye LED headlights with air duct mounted between them to give it a beast look. The Yamaha R1-inspired look of the bike has made it land in the premium category with an affordable price range.
The sculpted fuel tank along with the up-swept exhaust and a nice fairing that keeps the engine exposed compliments its race-bike look. The overall extraordinary design demands attention on the road.
The Yamaha R15 V3 is powered by a 155.1cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that gives out a maximum power of 19.3HP at 10,000 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 14.7Nm at 8500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The braking duties are handled by a 282mm single disc brake at the front and a 220mm single disc brake at the rear. The sports bike gets conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock rear suspension. As we have mentioned above, the R15 V3 is equipped with a 2-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) unit as standard.
