2020 Isuzu D-Max Officially Unveiled; India Launch Next Year

The much anticipated 2020 Isuzu D-Max has been recently revealed by the brand. The new update offers the pickup truck with a host of new cosmetic features in addition to mechanical changes as well as a new automatic gearbox.

The brand has equipped the pickup truck with other premium features as well to make a strong impact on the targeted audience. The customers can further avail the updated D-Max in Regular Cab, Space Cab, and Crew Cab variants. The updated model of the pickup truck will go on sale in Thailand from October 19, 2019, while the launch in India is expected to happen next year.

Coming to the exteriors, the 2020 Isuzu D-Max features a large grille at the front while being mated to sleeker headlamp design. The brand has equipped the new model with U-shaped LED DRLs, which offer the pickup truck a clean look.

In addition to this, the brand has updated the front and rear bumpers of the pickup truck and has equipped the 2020 model with all-new LED tail lights setup. The wheel arches of the updated vehicle now get a more muscular design language while the new fog lamp housing offers it a sharper look.

Coming to the interior specifications, the 2020 Isuzu D-Max features a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to featuring steering-mounted controls as well as other premium bits. The top-spec variant of the pickup truck has been further equipped with more comfortable seats in addition to getting textured surfaces and more.

Apart from this, the brand has also reinforced the rooftop of the updated pickup truck in addition to offering the tensile steel plates that offer a more rigid body by 20%. In terms of mechanical bits, the 2020 Isuzu D-Max will be available to the customers in two turbocharged diesel powertrains.

The 1.9-litre four-cylinder diesel engine will be capable of generating a maximum power of 150HP at 3,500 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm between 1,800 and 2,600 rpm. On the other hand, the 3.0-litre diesel engine will be capable of producing 190HP of maximum power at 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm of peak torque at 1,600-2,600 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the customers can also avail the newly-developed automatic transmission with the base 1.9-litre diesel engine variant.
