R15 Version 3 Movistar Edition Launched in Indonesia
Yamaha R15 Version 3 Movistar Edition was recently launched in Indonesia for IDR 35.10 Million (INR 1,67,500 approx). The special edition livery helps the already beautiful machine attain next level of sophistication. The typical blue theme now gets Neon Green M moniker on the side panels. Various other brand logos can be seen on the Yamaha R15 Version 3 Movistar’s body panels. Apart from the visual differences, everything remains identical to the standard version. India is awaiting the New R15 V3 from a long time. The last spotted version of the Indian R15 was slightly different from its Indonesian version.
The one spotted in India came with standard telescopic forks in place of the USD forks that are on offer in Indonesia. This is projected as a cost cutting measure as Yamaha seems planning to keep the cost under present price of FZ25. India spec version will be completely made here and localization must have been the only reason for this delay. R15 V3 is powered by a 155.1 cc, single cylinder engine producing 19.04 BHP at 10000 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 8500 rpm. The nature of the engine has changed from a medium level performer to super sport class performer.
It not offers power at the higher side of rpm range and thus, fans would love to rev the throttle till it touches the five digit mark. It weighs just 137 kg, making it extremely easy to ride on track days. Yamaha claims a top speed of 144 kmph (speedometer indicated) for the motorcycle while fuel tank capacity has gone down by 1 liter to 11 liters on third generation R15. ABS is not on offer in any market presently, making the fact clear that it won’t be available before April 2019 in India. Yamaha can launch the R15 V3 in India anytime as it was spotted in a road legal attire that also uses a small tyre hugger at the end.
