Yamaha India recently updated its official website and surprisingly, FZ16 and YZF-R3 went missing from the motorcycle section. This change was seen after the implementation of BS4 emission norms across the country. Yamaha FZ16 was carrying an older 153cc carburetted engine and the brand has removed the bike from their official lineup. That engine was first being sold in all the 150cc models except R15 in the lineup. Then came the 149cc fuel injected unit that changed the face of the FZ lineup. The FZ series now has 3 models on offer: FZ Fi V2, FZS Fi V2 and Fazer Fi V2.
Yamaha FZ25 was recently launched and needed no update while FZ series (including Fazer) were wrapped in better shades on the 2017 variant and are now BS4 compliant. The new FZ range has been launched without the familiar tyre hugger. Yamaha has also updated the SZ-RR with new shades and BS4 engine while smaller Saluto motorcycles also received the mandatory updates. The disc brake version of 125 cc Saluto even got itself two attractive shades (Grey and Cyan).
