Yamaha MT-15 Darknight Spotted Ahead of Official Launch

Yamaha MT-15 Darknight Spotted Ahead of Official Launch

The recent spy shots of Yamaha MT-15 Darknight confirms that the model will arrive with two different price points. The motorcycle spotted here features gloss black fuel tank with matt black tank extensions and matt finished front fender. As one model that was earlier spotted had the Matt Blue shade on offer, it seems like the fenders will stay matt black on all shades of the MT-15. The matt black Yamaha MT-15 comes with black alloy wheels like the stock model. The mean machine look of the motorcycle is further enhanced through the shade as only a limited number of components are now finished in the silver shade, apart from the chrome suspension tubes.

The global theme featuring the dark side of Japan was seen at the first MT-15 event, clearing the fact that the brand is promoting the same as a premium product like the MT-09 and other international variants. The standard swingarm and front forks may bring a slight change in weight by increasing the overall value, further adding the weight of saree guard and other mandatory additions. Yamaha MT-15 Darknight will use the same 155.1cc, single cylinder engine, producing 19.3 HP of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Yamaha MT-15 will launch in India on March 15 with an expected price tag of INR 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
