Valentino Rossi started his journey 26 years ago and turned into the most eminent figure in MotoGP history with some spellbinding and momentous performances that will always be an inspiration for the next generation of racing stars. To mark his notable achievements, which include nine world championship appellations, 115 wins, and 235 platforms over 425 race start, Yamaha has developed the one-of-a-kind R1 GYTR, penned by Rossi’s friend and helmet designer, Aldo Drudi.
Speaking about the design and styling, the Yamaha R1 GYTR VR46 parts are derived from the 2022 GYTR catalogue and feature some parts from the brand’s WorldSBK proficiency. Parts taken from the GYTR catalogue include a slipper clutch, an electronic throttle, a head gasket, an air funnel set, a radiator kit, a front brake protector, a sportier race-spec handlebar with specs, adjustable rear sets and more.
To make the bike’s body lighter, the manufacturer used carbon fibre bodywork and a carbon rear subframe. Some other notable features are the factory-tuned engine, Ohlins factory forks, REX 140 Marelli ECU with a dedicated wire harness, braking hardware from Brembo, rear shock and steering damper, and a Chrome lite dashboard with GPS. However, the performance statistics are not provided by the maker yet, but it is anticipated to generate more than the stock motorcycle’s 200 PS and 113 Nm.
