Yamaha R15 Version 3 Launch @ Auto Expo 2018: We recently posted an update that Yamaha will launch the R15 V3 in India on January 8, 2018. Yamaha India has not confirmed the launch yet, the dealer who informed us must have provided wrong information. We are extremely sorry for our last update regarding the launch. We contacted Yamaha Motor India again, we will be posting the launch update as soon as we have some concrete and confirmed details with us. Yamaha R15 V3 was recently spied outside a dealership in India for the first time. The model spotted here comes with road ready sticker job and dual tone matte red and grey livery.

Yamaha R15 Version 3 Launch Soon!
Yamaha R15 V3 was spotted testing in India for the first time in Delhi. 3 photos of production-ready India-spec R15 V3 were also leaked online. The Indian version has certain differences when compared to the original R15 V3, which was launched in Indonesia.
The bike spotted here is painted in Yamaha Racing Blue but the factor that seems to be a let-down is the use of conventional telescopic forks in place of USD forks (Upside Down Forks) on the version spotted in India. A keen eye will even spot a different front fender, MRF tyres and a different iron rod style foot-peg assembly. ABS was not even on offer internationally and thus, we cannot expect it to be an India spec feature anytime soon.
Apart from missing the expensive suspension, this version seems to carry LED lights and other important components from the international version. Yamaha may even skip slipper clutch to further keep the bike closer to the present price of R15 V2. The all-new 155.1cc, single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 19.04 BHP at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 8500 rpm. The all-new Yamaha R15 is expected to reach speeds higher than 135 kmph, making it the most powerful 150cc motorcycle across India.
