Yamaha R15 V3 Monster Energy Edition Launched @ INR 1.43 Lakh

Yamaha R15 V3 Monster Energy MotoGP edition has been officially launched in India at a price tag of INR 1,42,780, getting a premium of INR 2500 over its standard variant, which is available for INR 1,40,280. The Monster Energy MotoGP edition of the YZF-R15 V3 is a part of Yamaha’s 2019 brand campaign that initially started in 2018 under the name “The Call of Blue 2.0”.

The brand has specifically designed the campaign to focus on planning, marketing, and customer engagement strategies of its products in India. The customers can also avail complimentary racing branding t-shirts with the limited-edition motorcycle.

The MotoGP edition of the motorcycle features an all-black colour shade with contrasting blue graphics and YZR-M1 MotoGP inspired decals on the body fairing. The motorcycle has been equipped with Monster Energy stickers on the side fairing as well as the front panel.

The R15 V3 Monster Energy MotoGP edition also features Yamaha Motor tuning fork logo and Yamaha Racing speed block logo on the body panels. The motorcycle features all-LED headlamps while the rear has been equipped with an LED tail lamp. The brand has equipped the sports bike with a similar all-digital instrument console as seen on the standard variant.

Mechanically, the Monster Energy MotoGP edition remains unaltered. Powering the motorcycle is the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of generating a maximum power of 19.3 HP at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear features a monoshock absorber. The motorcycle gets a 282mm disc brake at the front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear mated to dual-channel ABS for additional safety.
