Yamaha R15 V4 Spotted in India; Gets R7 Like Projector Headlight

2022 Yamaha R15 V4 Spotted in India: The much-anticipated Yamaha R15 V4 sports bike has been spotted testing in India for the first time ever. The spy video has been shot by Abhinav Bhatt and one can clearly see two fully camouflaged test mules of the upcoming motorcycle being tested on a flyover somewhere near New Delhi. Till now, Yamaha R15 V4 was considered a rumoured motorcycle but now, one can safely assume that the next-gen model of R15 is definitely in the making and it is expected to be launched in India in the coming months. Here is the spy video of Yamaha R15 Version 4.0:

As one can see in the spy video by Abhinav Bhatt, Yamaha R15 V4 retains a similar rear-end styling when compared to the R15 V3. The sportbike continues to feature a similar tail-light, rear turn indicators, tyre hugger, and winglets. The side panels of the R15 V4 are not visible clearly in the video though one can expect Yamaha to offer the motorcycle a major upgrade with all-new side fairings and new colour combinations.

At the end of the spy video, the front-end styling is also visible and it is inspired heavily by the 2021 model of the R7 sports bike. The upcoming model of R15 features a huge projector headlight with eyebrows look-alike LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

At present, no concrete details are available regarding the engine of the Yamaha R15 V4. According to some of the recent media reports, Yamaha is expected to continue with the same 155.1cc engine with improved power and torque figures. For your reference, the present-gen model’s liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine is good enough to produce 18.6HP of maximum power along with 14.1Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

In terms of pricing, the Yamaha R15 V4 is expected to get a price hike of around INR 10,000. At present, the R15 V3 is available in the Indian markets with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.55 lakhs.
