# Update 9: Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 Officially Unveiled in Indonesia
This is it! Iwan Banaran has managed to leak the first production-ready photos and official unveil videos of the upcoming Yamaha R15 Version 3.0. Though the videos and images are low-resolution but it confirms that the bike has been officially unveiled at a press event in Indonesia. According to Iwan Banaran, the unveil event took place at hotel Raffles in Jakarta, and the R15 V3 was unveiled by none other than Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales. The bike is said to be now equipped with a slipper clutch and all-new 155cc more powerful engine, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. As of now, the details about the bike are very scarce and we are awaiting Yamaha to update the official Indonesian website with high-resolution official photos and complete official specifications of Yamaha R15 V3.0.

Two Yamaha R15 v3.0 test mules were recently spotted parked next to each other, showcasing nearly every possible detail from the front and three-quarter view. The bike looks stunning in the images, making the fact sure that it would perform even better the the second generation motorcycle.
R15 version 3.0 uses sleek LED headlights and a curved windscreen like most other sport bikes around its segment. The fuel tank and fender design can now be even easily grasped through this image. The motorcycle looks years ahead of every other machine around its segment, carrying exciting new features like USD forks and a fully digital instrument console.

# Update 3: Latest Spy Photos Reveal the Front-End of R15 V3.0
Yamaha R15 version 3.0 is being unofficially revealed in a phased manner as it was recently spied from the front end. The face is completely new, carrying twin LED headlights that are sleek and shaped like bull horns. The center portion has a bit of division through R125 inspired arrow shaped division. Unlike the current version, the new R15 has a rounded visor and emptier front fascia. When seen from the side view, the bike looks totally different from the current generation.
The major side fairing tucks inward at the front while the portion above the lights is highlighted from the rest. When the same will get color combinations, it could be simply the best thing around its segment as every panel will have its own definition and depth. The visor even has a part of the fairing with itself in this version. A rendering for the same has even been digitally generated by the folks at Motoblast. The headlights are different as they were unaware of these images when the bike was rendered.

# Update 1: New Spy Shots Reveal the Fairing and Exhaust of R15 V3.0
As per the latest spy photos, R15 V3.0 carries smart body fairing that is quite different from the current generation. The front fairing has lost its sharpness and seems to be inspired from the current age design language. Unlike the current generation, the visor bends differently while the side fairing now wraps to the inside of the front fairing.
The design of the side fairing falls in sync with the inner panels of the front side. Their is some visible space between the fairing but Yamaha can simply fit a mesh grill in between for better feel. The exhaust/muffler also carries an all-new design and it seems to be inspired from the Suzuki GSX-R150.

Yamaha is expected to bring the third generation with features like USD forks, all-digital instrument console, LED front headlights and optional ABS. The front section is partially visible while the rear clearly supports a relaxed sitting position when compared to version 2.0. Yamaha is even expected to put Variable Valve Actuation in R15 v3.0, helping it with the power outputs around it low, mid and high range. If some reports are to be believed, the new engine would be a bigger 155 cc unit on the motorcycle.

Yamaha R15 presently produces 17 PS at 8500 rpm and 15 Nm at 7500 rpm. It is expected to bring a power figure of around 18-20 PS from its updated engine. It will surely retain its 6-speed manual gearbox and may get a price tag of around INR 1.25-1.30 lakh. If Yamaha has already started testing the R15 v3.0, it will most probably get a launch even by the mid of 2017. Yamaha may also reduce the overall weight to increase the performance of R15.
