Yamaha R3 + RD350 = RD300 by Autologue Design (Pune)

Yamaha RD300 Concept by Autologue Design is another digital marvel for the automotive enthusiasts of India. The retro-modern machine that is seen here has the body of an RD350 and utilizes cycle parts from the popular Yamaha YZF-R3. The motorcycle has been imagined with the same massive frame, using golden USD front forks to add muscular character to the bike.

The complete fairing of the Yamaha R3 has been removed to add a titanium Akrapovic exhaust and minimal belly protection to the cafe racer design. The fuel tank, side panels, and headlight have been directly derived from the RD350. Autologue is yet to clarify if a production version for the same will arrive or not.

The front and rear tires as seen in the rendered image are track-friendly while spoke wheels add retro character to the motorcycle. The rear fender is independent while the front end has been imagined with dual disc brakes. The seat has a two-step layout while the rear light has also been derived from the 350cc RD model.

Yamaha RD350 was powered by a 30.5BHP engine for the Indian market while the international version was good for 39BHP. The RD350 was one among the limited number of twin-cylinder motorcycles of its era, and Yamaha R3 is a worthy successor to this segment.
