Here is the updated version of the article with some of the notes of my own while keeping some important aspects: Less stiff than stiff, different lengths and shapes of sentences. I’ve intentionally omitted weak phrases and complex texts. So if there’s anything else you want me to change or anything you want to add to it please let me know.

Yamaha RX 100 may make a comeback in India soon – and here is what we know

I am a car/bike lover since a long time and my excitement knew no bounds when i heard buzz about Yamaha coming up with the legendary RX 100 bike in India. This two-wheeler bike demands attention from the Indian riders like me mostly have special bucket for this bike. And why not – RX 100 was a legend in its time, the first model of RX was produced between 1985 to 1996.

This took me down the memory lane and I was trying to imagine how it is to have RX 100 in India. Powered by a 99 cc two stroke engine it could out manoeuve all other machines and it had a maximum speed of 105 kmph. Now for a teenager learning to ride bikes back then, it was a dream machine!

For many years and I include myself in this category have been looking forward to the RX 100 to be in the market again. And now it finally seems Yamaha has listened to our prayers. This they’ve geared themselves to re-launch soon in the Indian market for the same retro motorcycle they had produced earlier.

I began to get really excited because I am a pro photographer who likes repairing old bikes as a hobby. Let’s take a look at the details that have emerged so far about the soon-to-be-relaunched Yamaha RX 100 bike model:

1. Engine and Styling
The new RX 100 will remain inspired from the old original design of Yamaha but the engine details of the bike will be more advanced. The company has recently launched 125 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine in other models also. Therefore we can safely anticipate this new RX 100 to come with this 4-valve engine in addition to fuel injected technology.

V brat sketch it is expected that the styling will be inspired by the curvy design of RX 100 2-stroke. Round headlight, heavy duty fuel tank, new tail piece and dual shade would turn the new bike into an awe inspiring machine! Personally I would perhaps like to see some nice colours like the bright red and white shade which the earlier RX 100 model had.

2. Anticipated Release Date along with the expected price tag
Information has it that Yamaha has been strategizing on how to embark on test rides of the RX 100 by middle of 2023. This means that there could be the actual launching measured towards the end of the following year. The tentative price range is estimated to be anything between Rs. 1.2 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakhs, all because the company wants to cater to the perceived expectations of those interested in a retro-styled car.

On the side of Yamaha, I think this would be a smart pricing strategy. The market price is set higher to support the value of nostalgia the revived legacy bike carries among motorcycle lovers in India.

3. Competition at Launch
As someone who likes comparing vehicles in the same category, there are two strong competitors that come to mind when thinking of the RX 100 relaunch:

Bajaj Pulsar NS125– Bajaj currently has a 125cc version of Pulsar, the newly launched Pulsar NS 125 costs less than Rs 100000/-. The new model of NS 125 updated in 2023 is going to make Yamaha’s conditions even tougher.

TVS Raider 125 – With Monster motard styling and developed particularly for young riders, the potent Raider 125 is a tough competitor for RX 100. TVS is bound to bring special variants/editions with the launch of RX 100 nearer.

It will also be worthwhile to observe where does Yamaha stands the claim of back again style of RX 100 against other younger bikes. As an auto-expert- Well, RX 100 bearers do not mind paying that extra dollar for the brand legacy that Yamaha has on its side.

As for myself, shame on me, the very day those bikes were introduced to the market I began dreaming and saving for one. The return of my favorite RX 100 after two whole decades now looks and feels like a dream I will soon be waking up to. Any interesting stories or a fun time you had on this machine to tell? Tell me when Yamaha starts rolling out this legend again on our roads!
