Yamaha YZF-R1M Online Bookings Opened: The 2018 model of Yamaha R1M will now be on-sale through the specially designed online portal. Customers are required to fill in their details and thus, purchase can be made for the limited edition R1M. The track bike is loaded with advanced electronic features and not just that, it is the most advanced road bike ever built by Yamaha.
The motorcycle is priced at £19,799 in the UK. Yamaha uses an advanced 998cc, four cylinder engine producing 197.2 BHP at 13,500 rpm and 112.4 Nm at 11,500 rpm. It comes with a relatively high 860mm of seat height. The ground clearance for Yamaha R1M stays 130 mm with standard equipment.
This makes R1M a perfect option for those who wish to enjoy corners without caring for ground touches at most times. Speed limiter kicks in at 299 kmph while buyers can get that removed to enjoy the unmatched performance from a 200 kg sport bike.
R1M takes just 2.7 seconds for a trained rider to reach 100 kmph from standstill. It rivals none other than Suzuki GSX-R1000R, Honda CBR1000RR SP and Kawasaki ZX-10RR in India. All these are special versions of standard liter class superbikes with added electronics and fully electronic suspension.
Yamaha R1M comes with Ohlins 43 mm USD ERS (electronic racing suspension) at the front while rear comes with bottom link mono-cross suspension on the motorcycle. Yamaha R1M buyers are eligible for track racing experience as they can fill the form at the same website.
Details for everything will then reach the concerned nearest dealer. Yamaha India recently removed the R1M from their official website. It is not sure that why they did this but at the same time, the presence of updated MT-09 hints that it has been temporarily discontinued from the market. Presently, the website lists European countries only.
