1. Powerful and Smooth engine

As compared to its rivals, Ninja 300 and Hyosung GT 250R, Yamaha R3 has got the most powerful twin cylinder engine. The motor of Yamaha R3 loves to be revved that too without giving up at peak rpms. The engine is smooth with the best in-class refinement levels and highly responsive across the entire rev range.

2. Excellent Ride & Handling

Riding on Yamaha YZF-R3, you would experience that the bike is perfect for both aggressive riding and city rides. The bike has got excellent chassis and dynamics which gives the rider a superior quality ride experience, The suspension is good enough to give you a plush ride experience.

3. Value for Money Motorcycle

Despite introducing features like excellent build quality, parallel twin engine and assembly in India through CKD route, Yamaha has priced R3 at Rs. 3.26 lakh. This makes it complete value for money motorcycle for the Indian bike enthusiasts. It is around Rs 40,000 cheaper in comparison to its closest rival, the Kawasaki Ninja 300.

R3 is Yamaha’s sharp, beautiful and tough motorcycle which can easily steal someone’s attention. It features the iconic sharp tail light design and the boomerang inspired side fairing with a unique front styling. It has got a cool exhaust which is short in length and perfectly shaped.

5. Best-in Segment Power Values

Yamaha R3’s engine can produce 41.4 Bhp of power at 10750 rpm with 29.6 Nm of torque at 9000 rpm. As compared to other bikes in the segment, R3 has got excellent power values with an unbeatable performance. The bike has 6-speed, constant mesh gearbox.

6. Higher Power with the Speed

With Yamaha R3, you can be cruising at 120 kmph on the freeway and still the engine has got enough torque to pass cars. The R3 can easily make it to 160 kmph if you twist the throttle. The approx. top speed of R3 is 188 kmph.

7. Comfortable Long Rides

The R3 allows you to have comfortable long journeys with its slightly raised clip-on handlebars which makes the seating posture less aggressive. The bike has got narrow tank, low 780mm seat height which makes it comfortable for short riders as well.

Cons of Yamaha YZF R3

1. No ABS

Despite being priced at Rs. 3.26 lakh, the bike doesn’t come with ABS.

2. Not so Good Tyres

Yamaha R3 comes with MRF Zapper S tyres which are not as good as Michelin’s available outside India.

3. No Slipper Clutch

If your main aim of buying R3 is track riding then, you will miss out the slipper clutch on the bike.
