2018 Aston Martin Vantage Launched in India @ INR 2.95 Crore

With a top speed of 314 kmph and a 0-100 kmph timing of 3.6 seconds, the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is quite fast. It has long been awaited in India and the company has finally announced its launch plans to bring the new Vantage to the Indian shores. Aston Martin has launched the all-new Vantage in India for a whopping price tag of INR 2.95 crore (ex showroom Mumbai). The company hosted the launch event of the car at the Infiniti cars outlet in Mumbai.

The 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is based on the next generation platform by the company and over 70 percent of all the components used in the car are bespoke. The weight of the car is just 1530 kg and it is based on the Bonded Aluminium framework, which again is bespoke. The 2018 Vantage marks the stepping of the company into the world of electronic rear differentials.

The engine for the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage has been borrowed from Mercedes-AMG. It is a 4-liter V8 with twin turbo motors. The engine produces a maximum power of 503 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 685 Nm in the 2000 and 5000 rpm rev range. This engine is mated to a rear mid-mounted ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with an alloy torque tube with Carbon Fiber propeller shaft. The suspension duties are handled by the independent double wishbone design coil springs at the front and multi-link coil springs at the rear, with anti-roll bar and adaptive damping on both ends.

Aston Martin has decided to allot just 20 units of the 2018 Vantage for the Indian markets and the deliveries of the car will commence from the beginning of 2019. When it arrives in the Indian markets, the all-new Aston Martin Vantage will take on the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GT and the Porsche 911.
