Maruti Suzuki is still leading the charts with first position among the car brands of India. The manufacturer registered 1,07,829 units from the Arena dealerships while NEXA was good for 28,119 units. Hyundai scored the second position with 52,001 units, registering 5% growth in comparison to October 2017. Mahindra scored the third position with 22,563 units and stayed closer to Hyundai in terms of percentage. Tata Motors got the fourth position with 18,290 units and registered 11% growth in comparison to the sales number of 2017.
The fifth position goes to Honda with 14,187 units while Toyota was next with 12,606 units. Ford India registered 114% growth with 9,044 units while Renault was next with a small gap and 7,066 units in October 2018. Volkswagen got 3,191 units while Datsun was good for 2,848 units. Skoda and Jeep were next two brands with 1,757 units and 1,150 units respectively. Nissan and Fiat brought negligible numbers, with former getting 315 buyers and latter delivering 100 units to the buyers.
The trends are highly predictable but no major festive hype was seen. The primary products count for majority of these numbers while those selling slow are still away from being considered important by the brands. Maruti got seven positions among top 10 best-selling cars of October 2018 while Hyundai was good for three among all of them.
