2021 Force Gurkha Starts Reaching Dealerships: The updated BS6-compliant model of the Force Gurkha SUV was officially revealed by the brand at the Auto Expo back in February 2020. Ahead of the official launch in coming days, the BS6 Gurkha has started reaching dealerships across the country.
The retro outlook of the SUV has been retained by the brand though there have been a plethora of new updates offered to the 2021 model of the product to set it apart from the last-gen variant. The front fascia of the SUV now features a redesigned front grille along with a new bumper while the LED headlight setup is also new and mated to unique LED DRLs.
The body wheel arches add to its sporty exterior design while the addition of new 16-inch alloy wheels further complements its style language.
As per the details available, the brand has also revised the cabin of the 2020 Force Gurkha to make it look more like a lifestyle SUV rather than being only an off-road product. The dashboard has been redesigned and now features a touchscreen infotainment system mated to the circular air-conditioner vents. In addition to this, the instrument cluster has also been revised and features a Multi-Information Display (MID) display in the centre of a speedometer and a tachometer.
The Force Gurka continues to be powered by the same 2.6-litre diesel engine which it is now BS6-compliant. It is now capable of offering a maximum power of 90HP which is 5HP higher as compared to the 85HP offered by the BS4 version. The engine is further mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The updated SUV also features the similar independent suspension at the front while featuring coil springs at all the four corners. The customers will also be able to avail the SUV with a 2WD system.
