A leaked image from the dealer event of Ford Bronco has confirmed the design lines for 2019 variant. The iconic SUV that ruled the industry for 30 years, Bronco was discontinued in 1996. Now, 22 years after the end of this successful league, Ford is preparing to launch the updated version of their favorite SUV in the US market. The underpinnings are shared with Ford Endeavour, leaving the old and huge frame that gave birth to the modern day Ford F-150. The old Bronco was a three-door model while the one seen in the leaked image comes with a five-door layout.
The retro look is still alive, carrying modern equipment under the disguise of a boxy SUV. The illuminated front Ford moniker, along with round headlamps that support daytime running lights looks uber cool. The side profile now comes with standard high door height and dual tone roof for a perfect contrast. The image misses on the rear section, which may be seen in more leaked photos for the 2019 Ford Bronco. The slight glimpse of rear lights is seen through the side profile, placed lower than usual and illuminated with a pattern that outlines the glass area and improves presence. The car looks really impressive from all available angles.
Being another popular utility vehicle, Ford Bronco comes with black alloy wheels, clearly visible wheel arches and ground clearance that needs no introduction. As they are not targeting strict off-road fans, it is possible that the regular version may use standard tires that are more road focused. The most practical engine for this version is 2.3L EcoBoost unit with 6-speed automatic gearbox for the American market and 3.2L, 5-cylinder diesel motor for the remaining markets. As Ford has already announced an SUV based on Mahindra XUV500’s frame, chances of Bronco’s Indian arrival are zero.
