Ford Figo Cross was recently spied undisguised for the first time. The car will make its official unveil at Auto Expo 2018 and reports even suggest a launch frame of the same week as India’s very own automobile exhibition.
India’s cross culture had not been a success till date as most brand are simply offering black cladding filled products that are actually a replica of the stock model. Still, Ford’s iconic grill and enhanced feature list of the new Figo Cross makes this a great deal. Figo Cross could get a better price due to its compact size and already aggressive hatchback pricing.
Thick cladding was given a miss for this redesigned bumper that perfectly complements the all black grill of the Figo Cross. It looks rugged with the use of black stripe on the center section. Round fog lamps are embedded into the bumper.
Figo Cross uses black rear view mirrors, chrome door handles, chrome window lining and black roof rails for a perfect combination. Ford still missed on some important equipment like LED projectors and daytime running lights on the car. Apart from the exterior changes, buyers would feel delighted to have the impressive interior additions on the Figo Cross.
It comes with the same Sync 3 infotainment system as Ford EcoSport. The butter smooth unit is very impressive and functional in all terms. The improvements in the interior makes it feel premium and years ahead of the current gen Ford Figo’s interior.
Ford Figo Cross will be a powerful option with 100 HP diesel engine and all new 1.2L Dragon petrol engine. Expecting more than 90 HP from the new engine will not be a wrong guess at all. As pricing will surely rise, one can expect the Figo Cross to get an almost same price tag as Ford Aspire, the compact sedan.
