Ford Freestyle Launched in India: Ford has launched the India’s 1st CUV ‘Freestyle’ for INR 5.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It comes with single gearbox option and thus, buyers get usual Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ variants for both engines.
Ford has offered a powerful inline, 3-cylinder 1194cc petrol engine that produces 96 PS at 6500 rpm and 120 Nm at 4250 rpm on their new Freestyle while diesel power stays the same with 1.5L engine producing 100 PS at 3750 rpm and 215 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm.
Petrol motor is good for 19 kmpl of claimed mileage while diesel, as always, leads this department with 24.4 kmpl of mileage. Ford Freestyle measures 3954 mm in length and comes with 2490 mm of impressive wheelbase.
However, 15 inch wheels may feel smaller when compared to rivals with 16 inch wheels on top spec variants. It offers class leading features like SYNC 3 infotainment, push start button, Ford MyKey, six airbags, rear view camera, active roll over prevention and traction control.
