Honda has revealed the unveiling date of the new City sedan in the Indian market. The Honda City hybrid model will be officially revealed in India on April 14, 2022. After introducing the City hybrid in India this week, it will go on sale next month. The Honda City hybrid is expected to be introduced with the company’s Sensing Technology. The brand is currently using this technology in global models of its hybrid cars. Honda’s Sensing Technology is a package of safety features that incorporates a variety of safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, auto high beam assist, and emergency braking.
This will be Honda’s first car in India with Sensing Technology and will be loaded with a variety of safety features. Due to this, the price of the Honda City Hybrid will also be higher than its other variants. It is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 20 lakhs for the fully-loaded variant.
The engine of the new Honda City Hybrid is going to be very special. It will come with a hybrid engine that uses Honda’s i-MMD hybrid technology. It gets two electric motors fitted with an internal combustion engine (IC).
Moreover, the engine is a 1.5-litre Atkinson petrol unit that will generate 98 bhp of power and 127 Nm of torque. With the electric motor, this engine will be able to generate a power of 109 bhp and a torque of 253 Nm. The electric motors will be fitted into the front wheels of the car, which will be connected to a single fixed-ratio gearbox.
