2023 Honda WR-V Makes Official Debut – India Launch Possible

Honda has unveiled the second-generation WR-V in Indonesia, where it will go on sale first. The much-anticipated new-generation WR-V features a distinct design from its predecessor.

The new WR-V is a production version of the Honda Concept RS SUV. And there is a strong styling resemblance between the two. The new WR-V shares styling cues with larger Honda SUVs sold in other markets.

The new WR-overall V’s design is more coupe-SUV-like. The glasshouse is quite large, with raked front and rear windows (for an SUV). It also has a prominent shoulder line and chunky body cladding on the lower part of the doors.

The SUV has stylish angular wraparound headlamps. The grille blends in with the front bumper which has a simple design with a wide air dam. The WR-V has analogue dials and a 4.2-inch MID. Along with the ability to start the engine and air conditioning with a key in higher variants.

It includes six airbags, ADAS technology, and Honda Sensing. Honda Sensing includes automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and auto high beam assist.

The dashboard, infotainment screen, steering wheel, and even the seats appear to be identical to those found in the Amaze. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. A five-speed manual or CVT gearbox takes over transmission duties.

Honda is developing an all-new SUV for the Indian market that will compete with Hyundai Creta. This new SUV will be around 4.2 metres long and will be based on the fifth-generation City platform.
