GIIAS 2018: All-New 2019 Honda Brio Officially Unveiled

2018 Honda Brio is now official. The car got a dedicated unveil event at GIIAS 2018, clearly showing Honda’s intentions of making a rockstar entry into the segment. The Swift rival now looks mature with typical Honda front grill and City inspired headlights. Those days are gone when Brio was considered a toy car as it now flaunts familiar taillight design with all new set of diamond cut alloy wheels. It surely resembles the Ford Figo and Tata Tiago from a rear three-quarter angle, all thanks to the tail light, sporty yet familiar spoiler and similar C-pillar design.

Indonesian market gets the new Brio with Crystal Black Pearl, Taffeta White, Modern Steel, Lunar Silver, Attract Yellow Pearl, Rallye Red, and Phoenix Orange Pearl shade. The last shade is restricted to the RS variant only. Indian market is expected to share the shade options with the new Amaze. The interior for standard Brio may not feel as trendy as the exterior, with the RS variant being the only option to get color-coded interior lining and a touchscreen infotainment system. For India, the car may bring the touchscreen to rival Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Ignis, and Swift in a better way.

The RS moniker is used to describe the sporty visual additions to this car as all models are available with a 1.2L, 90hp engine option. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The availability of dual airbags and automatic climate control makes Brio a great option for car lovers. The front grill comes finished in chrome shade on the regular variant while RS gets gloss black finish for an almost entire set of visual components on the car. The dual tone roof option is also limited to the RS variant. The new model of Honda Brio uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen system.
