2018 Hyundai Santa Fe has been officially unveiled in South Korea. Not just that, the bookings will also start from February 7, 2017 in Hyundai’s home country. This marks the beginning of fourth generation design language for Santa Fe.
Purist would have got their connection right as Santa Fe is inspired from the same design language that is seen in Hyundai Kona. A full width chrome bar runs across the front fascia. Overall design change is quite sporty as thinner eyes look perfect on that bold front end. They have used dual projector lights in the fog light housing.
Passengers sitting inside won’t feel like driving an SUV as they have designed the interior to look more like a sedan specific layout. Neat lines within the dashboard holds that big touchscreen infotainment system while seats stay wide and comfortable as the old generation model.
Hyundai is using latest technological updates like rear seat occupant sensor, forward collision assist with warning, lane keep assist, driver attention warning and cross traffic alert with autonomous braking. 2018 Santa Fe will use 2.0L turbo petrol, 2.0L diesel and 2.2L diesel engines internationally. Transmission options are now limited to just 8-speed automatic unit.
2018 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with an all new instrument console that offers features like SoundHound and other driver assistance systems. The gear lever is now close to the driver and thus, Santa Fe can be called more driver centric in its 2018 variant.
Voice Memo function helps driver note down important information while concentrating on the road all time. Buyers can now select one between 2WD and 4WD variants. Hyundai is not expected to bring the new Santa Fe to Auto Expo 2018 but if they do so, Indian market will witness the most advanced full sized SUV around INR 30 lakh.
