Hyundai Elantra is one of the most popular cars globally that the brand makes. It was not expected that there would be a mid-cycle refresh of the car anytime soon but the company surprised everyone with the global reveal of the 2019 Elantra. The design has been changed to make it look even sportier and there are a lot of new safety systems that have been fitted into the car to ensure that no harm comes to the passengers.
The front of the car has been completely changed to ensure a sharp and pointy look. The headlamps extend into the grille, and there are sharp contours present on the front bumper to give it a more edgy look. The LED Daytime Running Lights now encircle the headlamps with one of the edges extending into the front grille. Turning around to the back, there is an all-new design for the taillights as well. They too extend into the boot like the previous generation but are now more sporty with an inclined dip into the hood, which also has been redesigned. The rear of the sedan is completely new, with brand-new bumpers and a redesigned trunk.
When you are stepping inside the higher trims of the new Elantra, the first thing that you will notice is the new larger 8-inch infotainment system, which is available as an accessory on the Limited and Sport variants. The lower trims get the same old 7-inch infotainment system, which has become quite a comfortable and easy to use unit.
The launch of this new Hyundai Elantra in India is expected by this time around next year to compete with the Toyota Corolla Altis and the Skoda Octavia.
