2022 Hyundai Creta Official Photos Leaked; All-New Model Fully Revealed!

The Hyundai Creta for Indonesia is getting a mid-life upgrade, which will bring a slew of aesthetic tweaks and a larger feature list to the mid-size SUV. The 2022 model is going to be unveiled on November 11 at the GIIAS 2021 show. However, some leaked promotional photographs of the updated SUV have already appeared online and revealed some interesting details about the car.

2022 Hyundai Creta Front & Rear View

To begin with the exterior, the facelifted Creta has a significantly reworked front end that is inspired by the bigger Tucson. As a result, the redesigned Creta will now sport Hyundai’s new parametric grille design, which spans the width of the vehicle and elegantly includes the LED DRLs. The skid plate now has a squarish design. The only alteration on the sides is a revamp of the alloy wheel design. At the rear end, the tailgate now houses redesigned taillights that are sharper than those seen in the previous generation.

Looking at the inside, previous speculation that the interior layout will remain essentially intact while adding additional features has been confirmed by the leaked pictures. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster (similar to the Alcazar), a premium 8-speaker Bose sound system, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a cooled glovebox, ambient lighting, and an air purifier are among the notable features.

2022 Hyundai Creta ADAS System

In addition, the most prominent update is the Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) that include safety technologies such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking. For the powertrain options, the updated Hyundai will most likely be powered by a single 115hp, 144Nm, 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. We do not foresee a diesel engine option for the Creta facelift in Indonesia.

While talking about the launch of the MY2022 Hyundai Creta in India, it is expected to launch in our country sometime in the next year. Coming to the technical specifications, the India-spec Creta would be retaining its present engine line-up, which includes a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 115 hp and 144 Nm, a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 115 hp and 250 Nm, and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with 140 hp and 242 Nm. Aside from a six-speed manual transmission, there are three automatic transmission alternatives.
