According to recent reports, the official design sketches of the Hyundai Aura has been released by the brand while the production variant of the sedan will be unveiled on December 19, 2019. The design sketches specifically accentuate the major designing and features offered to the upcoming compact sedan.
Coming to the overall outlook of the Hyundai Aura, one can easily recognise it as a successor to the currently available Hyundai Xcent. The brand has equipped the compact sedan with Grand i10 Nios alike grille at the front while being mated to LED DRLs shaped in a boomerang design as well as blacked-out headlights. Hyundai has equipped the compact sedan with projector headlamps while the fog lamps at the front feature triangular housing.
In terms of rear profile, the Hyundai Aura has been equipped with wraparound LED tail lamps while the rear number plate is mounted on the rear bumper itself. The boot lid further features an LED strip running across it. The brand has further equipped the sedan with a new set of alloy wheels that adds to its exclusivity with an all-new design.
According to the previously gathered data, one can expect the Hyundai Aura to feature a touchscreen infotainment system in addition to getting steering mounted audio controls as well as premium leather upholstery inside the cabin. The customers will be able to avail the all-new Hyundai Aura with three BS6 compliant powertrains namely: 1.2-litre Kappa petrol unit, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.2-litre diesel engine.
All three engine options can be availed with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while the customers can also avail an AMT with the 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engine variants. Once launched in India, the Hyundai Aura will compete in the market with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, Ford Aspire, and the Honda Amaze.
