The Hyundai Aura compact sedan was launched in India back in January 2020 at a starting price tag of INR 5.80 lakhs. After getting a price hike recently, the car is now available with a starting price tag of INR 5.99 lakhs while the price range goes all the way up to INR 9.36 lakhs for the top-spec diesel variant. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi. The Aura has replaced the Xcent sedan in the Indian market though, the brand plans to carry on selling the “Xcent Prime” to the fleet market only.
Based on the design language of the Grand i10 Nios, the Aura compact sedan differentiates from the hatchback with a new front bumper as well as a redesigned compact rear section. The boot lid of the sedan is further integrated neatly while the dual boomerang LED DRLs at the front complete its overall profile. The Hyundai Aura features 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels integrated with boomerang inspired spokes.
Coming to the interior of the Hyundai Aura, the design language has been borrowed unmistakably from the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. The compact sedan features an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay while the higher-spec variants have been equipped with a 5.3-inch digital speedometer mated to a MID (Multi-Information Display) in addition to Arkamys sound support, eco-coating, wireless charging and more.
Mechanically, the Hyundai Aura is powered by a BS6 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine that is good for 83HP of maximum power and a peak torque of 114Nm. The brand is further offering the sedan with a BS6 1.2-litre diesel engine that can offer 75HP of maximum power and 190Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are being offered with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Apart from these, there is also a 1.2-litre CNG option that is good for 69HP of power and 95Nm of torque. Hyundai is also offering the Aura sedan with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that is good for 100HP of power and 172Nm of torque. The turbo-petrol model is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The compact sedan competes in the market with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, and Tata Tigor. Here is the variant-wise Hyundai Aura compact sedan price list:
