Hyundai Venue will launch in India on May 21, leaving just a handful of days for those who are eagerly waiting for the first compact SUV from the Korean brand. Hyundai will mark the debut of their first compact SUV at the New York International Auto Show, leaving buyers in India equally excited with the arrival of the product in India for the first showcase. The competitive segment is dominated by Maruti Brezza, Honda WR-V, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. The launch of Mahindra XUV300 marked another premium entry into the segment while Hyundai Venue will be the sixth product of this kind for the country.
Remaining manufacturers are yet to enter this fastest growing SUV segment that is available with a perfect balance of performance and space. The compact footprint allows the driver to manoeuvre the SUV with ease around the city. Hyundai Venue is available with a unique front fascia that became popular in India through the Tata Harrier. The headlight is located lower than usual while eyebrow style upper section serve different purposes on different cars.
The case with Hyundai is slightly different as daytime running lights are located around the headlight and the upper section will serve as the indicator lights. The production version of the Carlino concept has a massive front grille, all-new steering wheel, and Vodafone eSIM-powered connectivity options. The car will feature both the 1.4L petrol as well as diesel engine options, further taking the performance up by the new 1.0L petrol motor that is good for 100 HP and 172 Nm.
The price of the last engine will definitely be higher than other options as it is the most powerful motor that one can have on the Hyundai Venue SUV. The gearbox options will vary with the engine selected by the buyer. The prices can start from as low as INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
