2019 Jeep Renegade Officially Revealed: The upgraded Jeep Renegade SUV has officially made its debut today at Turin Motor Show with a set of just two images amazing enough to keep the audience on its toes. The subtle modifications and clever tweaks is what the facelift is all about.
The images seen are of the European-spec version which has been unveiled today and Renegade has promised the similar for the Indian roads. Coming to the up-gradations, it gets a refurbished front bumper with a lower stance and a larger grille in matte grey finish.
We can see the lower end of the bumper exhibiting two additional fog lamps with clear-lens(white) turn indicators mounted on the fenders. LED projector headlamps and twin-five-spoke alloy wheels are some of the fine details justifying its fresh look.
It also features all new rear-view mirrors with integrated turn signal lights and tail-lights being modified to adjust its radical look. The rear also gets two individual mesh panels with redesigned brake lights. Coming to the inner details, there isn’t much we have gathered from the sources apart from little refinement in the seat fabric.
The infotainment console have been made a little larger that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Renegade Face-lift is getting two new engine specifications, first being 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power of 120hp and second being 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor powerful enough for tuning 150hp and 180hp.
When launched in India next year, the 2019 Jeep Renegade is expected to be powered by 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine powerful enough for 140hp. The Jeep Renegade is getting its roots manufactured in the same base as its predecessor making it acquainted with the local roads and with a starting price tag of around INR 11-12 lakhs, it will compete in the Indian market with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur.
