The Kia Carens, which made its official debut in the middle of this month, is the fourth model in the Korean carmaker’s Indian car portfolio. This all-new MPV will hit the Indian roads in January 2022. But it has been spotted ahead of its official launch in the country. The Kia Carens top variant Automatic DCT spy shots have recently surfaced online.
The spotted variant is the red-coloured one, Intense Red to be specific, which is offered with a sunroof feature. Kia Carens MPV has been positioned between the Seltos and Carnival in the company’s current lineup and will be offered in eight variants, which are HTP, HTM, LX, EX, TX, Premium, Prestige, and Luxury. There are 6 and 7-seater configurations offered by the brand in this forthcoming MPV. Here are the latest spy photos of Kia Carens:
Based on the company’s “Opposites United” design ideology, this new Carens gets Kia’s signature tiger-face front fascia with dumpy bumpers at the front and rear end. The flat front bonnet sports a sleek grille, LED headlamps, and Y-shaped DRLs. Other notable exterior design features include body-coloured ORVMs, sculpted door handles, dual-tone alloy wheels and more.
While the interior of the MPV boasts an ergonomic design with captain seats for the second row in the case of a 6th-seater layout and bench seats for its 7th-seater equivalent, The top-of-the-line variant comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the lower variants get an 8-inch screen.
As far as the launch is concerned, the built-in India Kia Carens will enter the market in January 2022. However, the precise date has not been announced yet. In terms of pricing, the upcoming car is expected to get a starting ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 15 lakhs.
