The interior details of Kia Seltos, the upcoming premium product from the sister-brand of Hyundai, has surfaced online in the clearest possible images from a dealer meet. The car was earlier seen at a photo shoot and later, the test mules were seen covered in loads of camouflage, both on the inner side and the outer body. Soon after these unofficial sightings, the brand showcased its car to the public. As per the latest details available, Kia will launch the Seltos SUV in India on August 22, 2019.
As seen in the new interior photos, the steering wheel of the car is a compact, flat-bottom type with buttons on both sides to keep everything under control of the driver. The Kia logo has been neatly studded into the steering wheel. The instrument console is very attractive, offering two analogue dials and a huge MID with details regarding the automatic gearbox, mileage, time, trip distance and everything from music to navigation.
The AC vents are placed right under the display while the automatic temperature control unit is seen under both sections. The MID screen will definitely mirror the values of the main display, seen clearly in this image with controls all around for volume and other settings.
In one of the images, one can clearly see the premium seat finish, decent-sized armrest and black interior finish for the car. Kia Seltos is using a BS6-compliant 115 HP, 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel engine and thus, the similarity with Creta will be more or less non-existent. The pricing for Kia models is expected to stay on the higher side, rivalling none other than Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass directly.
The MG Hector is another rival for the SUV but they are yet to establish themselves. The powerful options are simply the best selling premium SUVs of India (midsize segment). The Seltos measures 4315mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1620mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2610mm while ground clearance is rated at 190mm. Kia Seltos is expected to get a starting price tag of INR 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
