The 2019 Mahindra Bolero Camper was recently launched in India at a starting price tag of INR 7.35 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The price range goes all the way up to INR 7.90 Lakh for the top spec variant. The double cabin pick-up can be availed in the market in four variants – Base, 4WD, Gold VX, and Gold ZX, with the last being the highest spec model offered by the Indian carmaker getting an increased payload capacity of 1000 kg as well as more comfort features.
The other updates to the double cabin pick-up include power windows, updated floor console, central locking and more. It gets a redesigned front grille and reflector headlamps, while the minimal body graphics give it a premium stance. For enhanced safety, the pick up has been equipped with power steering, retractable seat belts and more.
The cabin has also been revised with dual tone interiors as well as faux leather seats that get a headrest and recliner features for more comfort. The brand is also offering a warranty of 3 years/1 lakh km with the 2019 Mahindra Bolero Camper in addition to 24×7 roadside assistance for one year.
As far as the mechanical changes are concerned, the pick-up continues to be powered by a 2523cc, m2DiCR diesel engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 62 HP and 195 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and is BS4 compliant. The brand is yet to introduce the Camper with a BS6 engine though it is likely to be launched soon since the new emission norms will be in effect from April 1, 2020. The Bolero Camper competes in the market with the likes of Tata Xenon and Isuzu D-Max in the Indian market.
