2018 Mahindra XUV500 Spied in India: Mahindra XUV has had a steady place in the auto market since the day of its release and in order to keep the consistency, the Indian Automaker has been working efficiently to launch upgraded variants from time to time.
The 2018 model of XUV500 has been spotted testing in India along with an all-new TUV 300 Plus. The XUV500 face-lift has been spotted without any camouflage though, the new model is somewhat similar to the one running on the streets.
The facelift is equipped with a new chrome grille with a new mesh design and a revised headlight cluster, LED DRLs, a revised rear bumper with chrome strips. The tail lights which are replaced from vertical to a rectangular unit with reflectors at the bottom.
The silver garnish gives a premium appeal and the fog lamps have been positioned a little higher and get vertical chrome strips. The ORVMs with integrated turn signals remains the same as the existing model. The new XUV500 gets all new 10-spoke alloy wheels and somewhat bigger spoilers. It will feature new tail lamp clusters and tailgate design.
It will feature a host of new features including a revised cabin in terms of styling with a better material quality of equipment and upholstery. One of the most expected new feature to be infused is the Apple CarPlay in addition to Android Auto in the touch screen Auto Infotainment system.
The engine specification remains the same with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that is known to churn out a maximum power of 140 BHP of power and an utmost torque of 330 Nm. The company is also planning to launch the hybrid and automatic version of the same but no specification or date has been decided yet.
