Mahindra has launched its environment friendly e-Verito in India at a starting price of INR 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The price of the car comes after the deduction of the FAME incentive and Delhi government subsidy. It comes in three variants named D2, D4 and D6 while the difference in features is very minor among the three.
The topmost variant comes with a price tag of INR 10 lakh and provides the option of fast charging (0-80 percent in just 1 hour and 45 minutes) whereas the normal variants take 8 hours and 45 minutes for a 0-100 percent battery charge. The total range of the car is 110 kilometers, which can further be extended through the regenerative braking feature.
The car brings a top speed of 86 kmph with itself while its Li-ion 72 V pack produces 41 HP and 91 Nm of torque. It uses a single speed direct drive transmission and carries the tag of being a proper 5 seater electric sedan of India. The e-Verito 510 liter boot space is again one of the best features available in sedans of its category.
