140HP Suzuki Swift Sport Spotted Undisguised in India

The 140HP Suzuki Swift Sport has been recently spotted in India in an undisguised avatar. The performance-spec hatchback that is sold in the international markets has been spotted at the Delhi airport by an enthusiast. It is for the first time that the sporty hatchback variant has been seen on the Indian soil.

Comparing the design language of the standard Suzuki Swift with that of the Suzuki Swift Sport, one can easily recognise a host of similarities though the features like a muscular front bumper, dual-tone alloy wheels, distinguished mesh grille at the front differentiate the latter apart from the former.

The brand has further equipped the sporty Swift with body cladding which adds to its athletic appeal. The Suzuki Swift Sport also features a dual exhaust system at the rear while the body cladding has been taken all the way from the front to the rear.

There has been no information revealed regarding the interior design language of the hatchback spotted in India though one can expect it to feature similar cabin design when compared to the standard version.

The Suzuki Swift Sport available in the international markets features premium leather seats with red stitching as well as the similar red detailing on the all-black dashboard design. Powering the hatchback is a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 140HP @ 5,500 rpm and an utmost torque of 230 Nm @ 2,500-3,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The top speed of the sporty variant of the hatchback stands at 210kmph while it’s capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in just 8.1 seconds. Since the Suzuki Swift Sport has been finally spotted on the Indian shores, one can expect more news on the official launch to follow soon.
