2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Facelift Gets Advanced Features

The country’s biggest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has launched the 2022 WagonR facelift model just days after debuting the newly updated Baleno facelift. Now it comes with new colour options and more features. It gets more efficient 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines this time. At the same time, CNG has been made available in more variants. Maruti has also used this opportunity to introduce a new Tour H3 version of the Wagon R for the fleet segment.

The new Maruti Suzuki WagonR is equipped with a 1.0-litre K-series dual jet, dual VVT engine and a 1.2-litre engine. Both engines will be available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. It is also offered with a company-fitted S-CNG version with a 1.0-litre engine. Dual jet, dual VVT technology with cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) helps in giving more mileage to the vehicle.

Some special new features have been added to the updated WagonR. For example, the ISS (ISS in the petrol variant) and hill hold assist features have been added to the AGS variant. In addition, the car now also gets a 17.78 cm (7-inch) SmartPlay Studio with smartphone navigation and 4 speakers. In addition, it also supports cloud-based services to provide a connected driving experience to customers.

The new WagonR offers better safety for its passengers with its HEARTECT platform. It will have more than 12 safety features, including Hill Hold Assist, Dual Airbags, Rear Parking Sensor, EBD with ABS, Central Locking System, Speed Alert System, Security Alarm, Front Fog Lamp, Seat Belt Reminder with Buzzer, Seat Belt Pre-Tensioner and Force Limiter, Speed Sensitive Auto Door Lock, and Child Proof Rear Door Lock.

Maruti has introduced two new, dual-tone colour options with the new WagonR. It has a gallant red with a black roof and a magma grey colour option with a black roof. Dual-tone paint shades are available exclusively on Tallboy’s top-spec ZXI+ variant. The company is also offering the car through its monthly subscription service, which starts at Rs 12,000. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR hatchback car is in direct competition with the Tata Tiago and the Hyundai Santro.
