Maruti Suzuki Recalls 17,362 Cars Due To Faulty Airbags
17,362 vehicles manufactured between December 8, 2022, and January 12, 2023, have been recalled by Maruti Suzuki. Baleno, Brezza, Eeco, Alto K10, S-Presso, and Grand Vitara are among the models affected.
These vehicles have a faulty airbag controller. The automaker will conduct a free recall, inspection, and replacement of the airbag control unit. In the event of an accident, this faulty part may prevent airbags and seat belt pretensioners from deploying.
Maruti Suzuki has also advised owners not to drive the affected vehicles until the part has been replaced. The owners will be contacted individually by the manufacturer.
If you own a Maruti Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Baleno, or Grand Vitara. And if it was manufactured between December 8, 2022, and January 12, 2023, and you have not been contacted. You should personally contact the dealership and have your vehicle checked.
Maruti also announced a recall for Ciaz, Ertiga, Grand Vitara, and XL6 a few days ago. This was done due to a faulty part in the child seat belt’s shoulder height adjuster assembly.
They also recalled the Celerio, Ignis, and Wagon R a few months back to fix a problem with the rear brake assembly pins.
