McLaren Senna Hypercar Officially Unveiled

McLaren Senna was recently unveiled internationally by the supercar manufacturer. The name comes as a tribute to Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna, who won 3 championships in a McLaren-Honda racer car.

Senna is extremely powerful and that comes through a perfect combination of lightweight body and equally effective engine. McLaren claims it to be faster than P1 when driven on track.

Beautiful from every angle, Senna carries every possible design feature of a perfect hypercar. Imagining Senna through words is best described as a road car that lost all unnecessary weight for exhilarating performance.

The design lines are flowing in nature and Senna takes things to a different level with impressive aerodynamics. The availability of every required component at the right place (huge wing, air inlets and hood scoops) make Senna a delightful aerodynamic creature on the road.

It goes good on road but still, the design team always thought about track while making Senna. Carbon fiber is another secret component that helps in reduced dry weight of just 1198 kg. That’s straight 181 kg less than the iconic McLaren P1. In fact, nothing more than a motorcycle size instrument console is seen on the driver’s side.

A center console with single screen and three switches is all what you get on the name of controls. Weight loss everywhere! McLaren Senna is powered by a 4.0L, V8 engine that is good for 789 BHP and 800 Nm of torque.

The engine comes mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The seats are lightweight and made from the same carbon fiber frame. There’s also a dedicated space to keep two racing suits and helmets in the Senna. Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres are offered as standard over the race spec alloy wheels.
