MG Motors recently launched the Hector SUV in India at a starting price tag of INR 12.18 lakhs (ex-showroom). Contributing to a noble deed, the brand has collaborated with the IIMPACT NGO that works towards offering quality education to the underprivileged girls in India.
The NGO has several education institutes across the country in rural villages where they focus on imparting education to every girl in the village’s radius. For every unit of the Hector sold, the brand will be contributing to one month of education of a girl child.
The brand will be facilitating some of their sales to 30 of the educational institutes run by IIMPACT NGO. The company will also be contributing towards building more educational institutes across the country and support gender diversity along with community building.
It is one of the worthy initiatives taken by the brand as it has just entered the Indian market and has already established itself as a contributing community. They plan on empowering the girl child in the underprivileged areas of the country through proper education.
Commenting on the partnership with the IIMPACT NGO, Rajeev Chaba, MG Motor India President and Managing Director stated: “As responsible corporate citizens, MG India and IIMPACT share a common vision of supporting, providing access to women to support themselves and transform their lives and the community around them. Educating and empowering the girl child is amongst the most impactful ways of doing so. With IIMPACT, the focus is on girls hailing from underprivileged backgrounds, as they work towards creating a better future for themselves. The initiative also enables owners of MG vehicles to contribute to and support a critical cause and become MGChangemakers,”
