The starting range, 718 Cayman for INR 86 lakh makes it a direct rival to the 2.0L Jaguar F-Type while top-spec 911 GT3 challenges the 5.0L F-Type in India. Purist will love to have the fully loaded GT2 RS for INR 3.88 crore, adding a bit of spice into the driver’s life through the aerodynamic package and more overall output.
Porsche is yet to launch the new Macan and Cayenne series of SUVs in India, both of which may support powerful petrol engines. The brand has no plans of using a diesel engine for any of its performance cars. Macan is still available with the Turbo version in its old guise. The brand rivals Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar and Maserati in its segment.
