2019 Renault KWID Spied Ahead of Launch: The Kwid has been the car that put the brand Renault on the forefronts with its high sales. However, it has not received any special change ever since it was first launched, apart from the special edition trims and the additional engine and transmission. It seems that the company has decided to turn the tables a bit and with the festive season rounding up at the corner, Renault is preparing to give a slight touch-up to the Kwid.
The changes are mostly cosmetic and nothing that will really make the new Kwid seem any different from the old one. The 2019 model comes with a chrome-finished grille that adds a bit of character to the small car, making it look wider. The new body graphics on the side is another minimal change that will come to the new model, along with revised graphics.
The rear of the car gets a reverse parking sensor that is embedded in the company logo. It is the first in segment feature. To accommodate the reverse parking camera, the touchscreen system on the inside has also been updated. The 7-inch display of the infotainment system now will show the live video capture of the reverse camera.
These changes are minimal and not at all prominent, except the chrome grille on the front. This is because the Kwid facelift is expected to come next year and it will feature more prominent cosmetic and equipment updates. This refreshed model will only serve to meet some of the needs of the market.
There are some convenience features on this new model, like the rear armrest, and the 12V charging socket for the rear passengers. Another noticeable change is the extra chrome that the door handles on the inside get. These features could be present on the new top variant RxZ that the company is planning to launch for this festive season.
