Skoda Kodiaq Scout Launched in India @ INR 34 Lakh

Skoda has recently launched the Kodiaq Scout variant at a price tag of INR 34 lakhs (ex-showroom India). The all-new variant of the SUV has been specifically designed for offering better off-road capabilities while getting a position between the L&K and Style variant of the SUV.

Coming to the cosmetic updates, the SUV now features off-road centric equipment which offers it a more muscular look while at the same time offers better performance. The front and rear bumper of the SUV now features plastic cladding while the brand has equipped the Kodiaq Scout with skid plates as well as “Scout” badging on the body panels.

The silver roof rails, as well as, silver brushed ORVMs further enhances its off-road looks while the 18-inch anthracite alloy wheels add to its rugged profile. Coming to the interiors, the SUV now features an all-black cabin with black leather upholstery that offers it a much premium look while other comfort features offered to the SUV includes ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, fully digital instrument panel as well as a touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Skoda Connect, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

In terms of mechanical updates, the Kodiaq Scout variant comes with an additional off-road driving mode that tunes the engine and transmission of the SUV and further offers better off-roading performance. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) allows the rider to monitor the tyre pressure in case of rugged terrains while the full underbody protection layer protects the hardware in case of the tarmac. The all-new SUV variant also features 9 airbags as standard for extra protection.

Powering the Skoda Kodiaq Scout is the same 2-litre turbo diesel engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 150 HP and a peak torque of 340 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox while the power is offered to all four wheels at once. The customers can avail the Skoda Kodiaq Scout in Lava Blue, Magic Black, Moon White, and Quartz Grey colour options. The recently launched SUV variant competes in the market with the likes of Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, Mahindra Alturas G4, VW Tiguan, and the Honda CR-V.
