Skoda Octavia RS245 has been recently launched in India at a price tag of INR 35.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) at the Auto Expo 2020. The sedan will be brought to the country as a CBU unit while the production will limit at only 200 units for the Indian market.
The Octavia RS245 is the most powerful version of the sedan to be ever rolled out by the brand. Powering the sedan is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of offering a huge power output of 245HP and a peak torque of 370Nm. The engine comes mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The Skoda Octavia RS245 is capable of accelerating 0-100kmph in just 6.6 seconds while the top speed of the sedan limits at 250kmph.
Coming to the exteriors, the newly revealed RS245 gets a bulkier design language when compared to the top-spec Octavia currently available in the market. The brand has equipped the sedan with a sportier front and rear bumper while the air intakes are now larger. In addition to this, the sedan features large 18-inch alloy wheels while gets a faux diffuser at the rear bumper.
Coming to the sportier cabin, the Skoda Octavia RS245 has been equipped with an all-black theme with red accents as well as a flat-bottom steering wheel design. The sporty outlook of the sedan is further accentuated with Alcantara seats as well as the use of multiple vRS badges.
The dashboard further features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while the interior has been further adorned with 12.3-inch digital instrument console, hands-free parking system as well as automatic climate control.
The launch of Skoda Octavia RS245 is one of the wisest decisions from the brand considering the next-gen Octavia was long due. The all-new sedan will now compete in the market with the likes of BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
