Tata Altroz Premium Hatchback Officially Revealed

Tata Altroz has been officially unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The production version of the much-talked-about 45X concept comes with various segment-first features and design lines that are not seen in any of the rivals. To start with the design description, one must understand the new philosophy followed by Tata cars. The front features stretched primary headlight section with smoked-out lamps and independent lower fog lamp section while daytime running lights are seen studded within the lower housing.

The bumper stays clean with the majority of coloured section and sport black air dam with no extra division. The alloy wheels are machine-finished while the side profile features praiseworthy window section and raised roof section for all the seats. The glass section after the rear door is small yet completely practical. The tail section features excessive dark-themed parts like the tail light on the new Tata Altroz is also highly smoked.

The roof features black finish for the dual tone effect while the boot door can be seen with dual tone black and body paint finish. The interior has a different story to say as premium finish around the vents and button sections is worth praising. The floating infotainment system is sourced from the Nexon while 7-inch display with analogue speedometer is quite practical for everyday use. The owners could now enjoy uninterrupted navigation and settings menu on their console, leaving no room for turning head to the side while driving.

The interior stays all black, enhancing the sporty character of the car. The steering wheel features controls for the display, sound, telephone and cruise control. The seating feature light section of cloth in the middle while those can be easily covered with any seat cover design. The version seen here shows a 6-speed manual gearbox and well-arranged dashboard while the base version can be expected with no such component list and style-enhancing features. The engine options for the car are yet to be disclosed. Tata Altroz is expected to get a starting price tag of around INR 6 lakh, and the premium hatchback would be competing with the Maruti Baleno, VW Polo, and the Hyundai i20 in India.
