Everyone is curious to know a thing or two about Tata Harrier dimensions since its first official photo was revealed at the assembly line. The guesses were right as the newcomer is huge in all aspects. Tata Harrier measures 4598 mm in length, 1894 mm in width and 1714 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2741mm.
In comparison, the largest of all (earlier) was XUV500, measuring 4585mm in length and 1890mm in width. The difference of 13mm in length and 4mm in width will not be straightway visible but more wheelbase means impressive space for the customer of Tata Harrier. The gigantic dimensions for a five-seater results more legroom, loads of shoulder room and impressive boot space.
In comparison to Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass, the Harrier dimensions are truly amazing. Jeep Compass is almost 203mm shorter than the Harrier while difference for Creta is 328mm. The width section is also in the favor of Harrier. In terms of height, XUV500 measures 1785mm while Harrier stays 1714mm. The design lines of Harrier doesn’t allow the car to get a high roof.
The weight gap between Harrier and Creta is also over 300 kg, ending the last bit of comparison that buyers wish to do between both the cars. Tata Harrier will rival XUV500 in terms of size and price for sure. The use of 140HP engine with a manual gearbox is amazing for the start. The on-road price of Tata Harrier is expected to be around INR 16-20 lakh. The SUV will go on-sale in India next year in January.
*Compass is also available with optional 18-inch alloy wheels.
