Top 10 SUVs In India With Longest Waiting Period – New List

SUVs are popular in India, and demand for them is increasing. However, due to the semiconductor chip crisis, Indian automakers are finding it difficult to meet that demand. As a result, some SUVs have extremely long waiting lists. The Mahindra XUV700 currently has the longest waiting list of any car on the Indian market.

Buyers may have to wait anywhere from eighteen to twenty-two months, depending on the variant. Surprisingly, the Mahindra Thar’s waiting time is also far too long, reaching up to a year for certain variants. The Hyundai Creta’s base variant has a ten-month wait time, while other variants have a four-month wait time.

Tata Punch, which was only recently introduced in the Indian market, has quickly become one of the country’s best-selling vehicles. A three to seven-month waiting period is required for the Tata micro-SUV. The Tata Nexon ICE (petrol and diesel) can take up to five months to arrive, while the electric version can take up to four months (Nexon EV).

Kia’s SUVs, the Sonet and Seltos, are also on backorder for up to eight months, depending on the variant. The Toyota Fortuner is the best-selling large SUV in India, and select variants are currently on backorder for up to six months.

The waiting period for MG Astor is also relatively long, ranging from four to five months depending on the variant chosen. Nissan’s fortunes in India have improved thanks to the Magnite SUV. In addition, depending on stock availability, the small crossover requires a four-month wait between booking and delivery.
