Major manufacturers have sourced their airbags from the same brand and that led to a big problem among all with potential risk of malfunctioning and shooting of metal fragments from the airbag. The chemical compound named Ammonium Nitrate is responsible for all this problem. Toyota Corolla has gone through many updates and its recent generation model wraps utility as well as luxury in its modern design.

2012 Toyota Corolla Altis was offered with 1794 cc, petrol engine producing 138 BHP at 6400 rpm and 173 Nm at 4000 rpm. The diesel motor on the same is 1364 cc, 4-cylinder motor producing 87 BHP at 3800 rpm and 205 Nm at 1800 rpm. The six speed manual gearbox was on offer on both the variants. The car measured 4540 mm in length, 1760 mm in width and 1480 mm in height. The 2600 mm of wheelbase promised enough space for everyone in the car.
